Move your domain to us (get the transfer code).
Unlock the domain, copy one code from GoDaddy (or wherever it lives), paste it into your portal. We do the rest.

Why we ask
With the domain held by us, we renew it, keep it pointed at your site and fix anything that breaks, without you ever touching DNS again. It stays registered in your name, and you can take it anywhere, any time, from your portal. The transfer code is how your current provider confirms it's really you moving it.
Have ready
- The login for the account where your domain lives
- About 5 minutes
GoDaddy
- 1.
Sign in at godaddy.com, open My Products and click your domain's name.
godaddy.com → your name → My Products
- 2.
Find Domain lock and switch it off. If DNSSEC is on, switch it off too.
Both are on the same Domain Settings page. The lock only stops transfers; switching it off changes nothing else.
- 3.
Click Transfer domain away from GoDaddy (at the bottom of the same page).
- 4.
Click Get authorization code and copy it. GoDaddy sometimes emails it instead; check your inbox.
- 5.
In your portal, under Move your domain to Unifictional, paste the code, fill in the owner's details (that's you) and click Start the move.
- 6.
Watch your email over the next few days. If your old provider asks you to approve the transfer, approve it: that makes it finish faster.
Other places your domain might live
- 1.
Namecheap: Domain List → Manage → Sharing & Transfer. Switch off Domain Lock, then click Auth Code; it's emailed to you.
- 2.
Squarespace Domains (also where Google Domains moved): Domains → your domain → Transfer away (or Registration → Transfer lock off). Get the transfer code shown.
- 3.
Wix: Domains → the three dots next to the domain → Transfer away from Wix → Send code. It arrives by email.
- 4.
Cloudflare: Domain Registration → Manage domains → Configuration. Switch off the transfer lock and copy the authorization code.
- 5.
Not sure where it lives? Reply to any of our emails with the domain and we'll look it up for you.
How you'll know it worked
Your portal shows the domain as Transferring, then Live. Your email keeps working the whole time: we copy its settings before anything moves.
Questions people ask
- Will my email stop working?
- No. Before the transfer starts we copy every email record (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to the new home, so mail keeps flowing.
- Do I still own it?
- Yes. It's registered in your name. Your portal shows its transfer code any time, so you can move it again whenever you like.
- It says the domain can't be transferred yet.
- Domains bought or moved in the last 60 days are locked by the rules every registrar follows. Connect it instead (two records, same page in your portal) and we'll move it once the 60 days are up.
- Does this cost me anything?
- No. It's covered by the domain fee you paid with your website, including the extra year of registration a transfer adds.
Rather not do it yourself?
Send us a note and we'll do it together over the phone. It takes five minutes and you won't have to find a single button.
